During first three months of 2019 the number of foreign tourists to Kazakhstan increased by 19 percent compared to the same period of previous year, Trend reports referring to LS news agency.
“Furthermore, the total volume of tourists to Kazakhstan equaled to 1.6 million in January-March 2019,” the report said.
“In turn, the volume of country’s domestic tourism increased by 15.8 percent and the number of tourists almost equaled 1.2 million people,” the statement said.
“During 1Q2019 of the current year the number of operating hotels amounted to some 3,400 units, whereas the number of residents of these hotels equaled 1.1 million people. The revenue value of the hotels stood at 24.5 billion tenge in the reporting period. The increase of the revenue is 10.8 percent,” reads the message.
“Furthermore, the accommodation places in resort areas increased by 19.8 percent (979 units). The revenue value of rest houses in three months of 2019 equaled 1.7 billion tenge, which is 0.6 percent less than during the same period of previous year,” the statement said.
