BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 30. The number of Azerbaijani citizens who visited foreign countries grew from January through October 2022, Trend reports on November 30 via Azerbaijan’s State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, this figure amounted to 1.2 million people, up by 1.6 times annually.
The committee noted that 46.7 percent of the above Azerbaijani citizens visited Türkiye, 17.9 percent - Russia, 11 percent - Iran, 8.7 percent - Georgia, and 15.7 percent - other countries in the first 10 months of this year.
The number of citizens who visited Iran increased by 2.8 times over the year, Türkiye - by 1.7 times, Georgia - by 1.6 times, and Russia – by 15.9 percent.
Meanwhile, according to the committee, over 1.3 million foreigners and stateless persons (an increase of 2.2 times) from 176 countries visited Azerbaijan.
