Iran discloses number of airport facilities to be commissioned

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8

Some 28 airport facilities will be commissioned in Iran by the end of the current Iranian year (began March 20, 2020), said Mohammad Reza Zahmatkeshan, an official with Iran Airports Company (IAC), Trend reports referring to the company’s website.

Zahmatkeshan said that a total of 51 airport facilities are being built in Iran.

He added that more than 8 trillion rials (about $190 million) will be spent on the construction of these facilities.

The official said that so far, the terminal of Lamerd Airport, the new runway of Ramsar Airport and the apron of Sari Airport have been commissioned.

"It is planned to put into operation the runway of Ardabil airport, expand the taxiway, apron and terminal of Isfahan airport, commission the international terminal of Ahvaz airport and the new terminal of Abadan airport by the end of 6th month of current Iranian year (September 22)," he said.
