The need for the construction of a new service point was caused by the construction of a new Angren – Pap railway line and the commissioning of a 19.2 km railway tunnel in the Kamchik mountain range.

There is a need to maintain the technical condition of locomotives that carry valuable cargo and passenger trains both in winter and in summer.

The locomotives operating on the railway section between Kizil Tukumachi – Akhangaran – Angren – Pap stations are serviced here. Technical service is provided to electric locomotives of the O’zbekiston (China), ERMAK (Russia), 3VL80s, VL60K series, and TEM2 diesel locomotives.

The service point building has two repair ditches and sites for inspection and maintenance of the chassis, internal and roof equipment of locomotives on a hill. It also has auxiliary premises - a locksmith's department, a welding department, a mechanical department, a canteen for service personnel.
