Uzbekistan Airways resumes flights to Kazakhstan’s Nur-Sultan

Uzbekistan Airways announced the introduction of additional flights to Almaty, as well as the restoration of regular flights to Nur-Sultan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekistan Airways.

Flights to the capital of Kazakhstan will be operated every Thursday and Tuesday starting from December 15.

In addition, regular flights to Almaty, Kazakhstan will resume from December 8.

The airline's statement does not say anything about the restrictions imposed during the flight in connection with the pandemic (for example, the requirement for passengers to have a PCR certificate for the absence of COVID-19).

In September Uzbekistan Airways announced a phased resumption of flights on a regular basis.

In November, Uzbekistan Airways increased the frequency of flights to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to five times a week.

Earlier, Uzbekistan Airways has increased the frequency of flights to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Starting from October 1, 2020, flights to Bishkek operate two times a week.

In addition, the airline has increased the frequency of flights to Minsk, Belarus since September 24.

From October 1, all border crossing points in Uzbekistan are opened for road, rail, and air transport.

Air traffic was terminated in Uzbekistan from March 16, 2020, and from April 1, 2020, all border checkpoints of the country were closed.
