The volume of maritime cargo transportation from Azerbaijan amounted to over 5.98 million tons in 2020, Trend reports citing a report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the SCC, the increase in cargo transportation on an annualized basis was 0.2 percent.
The total share of cargo transit by seaports amounted to 8.78 million tons, or 93.2 percent of all traffic, in the volume of 8.18 million tons.
Around 20,400 passengers were transported by sea in 2020.
The increase in cargo transportation was 0.2 percent, while in passenger transportation it decreased by 8.1.
From January through November 2020, a surplus of 78.4 million manat ($46.1 million) was formed in the state budget of Azerbaijan.
The nominal volume of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Azerbaijan in the reporting period amounted to 64.7 billion manat ($38 billion).
According to the data, for the reporting period, state budget revenues amounted to more than 22.2 billion manat ($13.5 billion), which is 5.2 percent more compared to the same period of 2019.
