Minsk Automobile Plant OJSC (MAP) will organize chassis assembly production in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the company.

As part of the participation of the Belarusian delegation in the eighth meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan, the parties signed a number of protocols and documents to increase mutual trade between the two countries.

It is reported that General Director of MAP - the managing company of Belavtomaz holding Valery Ivankovich, together with the heads of commercial services of the Minsk Automobile Plant, held negotiations with the Uzbek Krantas LLC company.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties outlined further steps to implement bilateral cooperation. Thus, the first such step was the decision on the need to organize the assembly production of MAP chassis in Uzbekistan.

“Taking into account the preferences provided by the legislation of Uzbekistan, the organization of assembly production will increase the mutual trade turnover between the two countries and increase the competitiveness of Belarusian vehicles in the local market of automakers,” the message said.

It was also noted that Minsk Automobile Plant has long-term partnership relations with Uzbekistan. Thus, the official distributor of MAP OJSC - the management company of the Belavtomaz holding FE LLC MAP-TASHKENT successfully sells MAP cargo, passenger and special equipment in Uzbekistan.

“Organization of a new assembly plant for automobile chassis will strengthen the position of the Belarusian leader of the automotive industry in Uzbek market,” the conclusion says.
