Facilities to be put into operation at Iran's Ilam Airport

A new terminal of Ilam Airport in the Ilam Province (western Iran) will be put into operation by the end of the 6th month of the current Iranian year (September 22, 2020), Head of Iran's Ilam Airport Mohammad Javad Yeganeh said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.

The official noted that the 6,000-square-meter terminal costs 445 billion rials ($10.6 million).

“In addition, work is underway to supply the terminal with equipment and facilities,” he added.

Yeganeh stressed that a central boiler house is also being built at the airport and a 300-meter-long elevator is being built. 200 billion rials (about $4.76 million) will be spent on this.

According to him, a project is being implemented to make 2,500 square meters of usable space between the old and new terminals of the airport. The project will cost 200 billion rials (about $4.76 million) and the areas will be operational by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2022).
