Lebanese air carrier starts flights to Tbilisi

Lebanese Middle East Airlines (MEA) air carrier starts flights to Georgia's Tbilisi, Trend reports referring to Georgian media.

The Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia on July 30 issued a permit to the airline to operate flights in this direction.

According to the Agency, the Lebanese company will operate the Beirut - Tbilisi - Beirut charter flights once a week on Saturdays from July 31 to August 18 on Airbus A320 aircraft.

Middle East Airlines (MEA) is the national airline of the Lebanese Republic, headquartered in Beirut. Based at Rafik Hariri Beirut International Airport, the airline operates international flights to countries in Asia, Europe and Africa.

As of today, foreigners can cross the Georgian air border with a negative PCR test result or must submit a document confirming that a person has received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine. It will be possible to cross the land border of the country with a document on the full course of vaccination and with a negative PCR test.
