Volume of cargo loaded/unloaded in Iran’s Shahid Bahonar port up

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Bahonar port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 13.7 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), compared to the 5th month (June 23 through August 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 207,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the sixth month. Of this, about 186,000 tons were loaded and 21,000 tons were unloaded.

Furthermore, 148,000 tons of cargo were exported and 4,500 tons were imported through the Shahid Bahonar port over the reporting month.

Within the 6th month, 348 tons of cargo were loaded and 2,380 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

According to the statistics, 37,400 tons of cargo were loaded and 102 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage, as well as 189 tons of cargo were loaded, while 14,100 tons were unloaded for other purposes during the sixth month.

“So, 66,300 tons of essential products, 50,100 tons of metal products, 22,500 tons of construction and mining materials, 3,190 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Bahonar port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.

Moreover, 20 tons of chemicals, 73 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 5 tons of small and assorted goods, 14,600 tons of container products, 50,400 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

As reported, about 11.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the sixth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.98 million tons were loaded and 5.35 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 2 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
