Iran sees increase in load/unload operations at Chabahar port

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran) increased by 16.4 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), compared to the 5th month of (June 23 through August 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 305,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port in the sixth month. Of this, 2,270 tons were loaded and 303,000 tons were unloaded.

Also, 148,000 tons of cargo were imported through the Chabahar port over the reporting month.

Furthermore, 2,680 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transit in the 6th month.

According to the statistics, 152,000 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for cabotage during the sixth month.

At the same time, 2,270 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for other purposes.

So, about 135,000 tons of essential products, 1,410 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 573 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 539 tons of small and assorted products, 15,100 tons of container products and 152,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

As reported, about 11.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the sixth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.98 million tons were loaded and 5.35 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 2 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
