Kazakhstan boosts cargo transport by road over 11M2021

Kazakhstan’s revenues from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 190.6 billion tenge ($441.3 million) from January through November 2021, which is 18.2 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport in November 2021 amounted to 19.2 billion tenge ($44.5 million), which is 12.6 percent more than during the same period of 2020.

The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 2.9 billion tons, which is 0.4 percent less compared to the same period of last year (364.7 million tons in November 2021, up by 16.8 percent year-on-year).

Cargo turnover amounted to 141.7 billion ton-kilometers which is 2 percent less than during the same period of last year (16.8 billion in November 2021, an increase of 9.2 percent).

In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 84.3 billion tenge ($195.3 million) over the reporting period of 2021, which is 37.5 percent more than during the same period of last year. November revenue from passenger transportation was 8.8 billion tenge ($20.4 million), which is 41.2 percent more compared to November 2020.

The number of transported passengers amounted to 6.6 billion people, which is 17.1 percent less than during the same period of last year (888.8 million passengers in November 2021, up by 2.5 times).

The passenger turnover amounted to 70.3 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is a decrease of 19.3 percent.

The passenger turnover in November was 9.2 billion (2.2 times more year-on-year).
