Volume of cargo loaded/unloaded at Iran’s Qeshm port down

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) decreased by 10.1 percent in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 22, 2021, through January 20, 2022), compared to the 9th month (November 22 through December 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 622,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 280,000 tons were loaded and 342,000 tons were unloaded.

At the same time, 2,120 tons of cargo were exported and 5,870 tons were imported through the Qeshm port in the 10th month.

Over the 10th month, 278,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 336,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

Furthermore, 120 tons of cargo were loaded in this port for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 716 tons of essential products, 31 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 115 tons of chemicals, 47 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 561,000 tons of small and assorted goods, 1,160 tons of container products, and 58,800 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port within the 10th month of the current Iranian year.

About 17.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 11.9 million tons were loaded and 6.03 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 42 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
