Azerbaijan increased import of road vehicles in January 2022, Trend reports citing the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the committee, this figure amounted to 5,685 vehicles, up by 1,043 vehicles (18.34 percent) on annual basis.
The majority of imports fell on cars – 5,231 (993 vehicles or 19 percent more than in January 2021), followed by 55 minibuses, 13 electric cars, as well as 1,137 hybrid vehicles (growth by 678 vehicles or 1.5 times compared to the first month of last year).
Besides, the number of trucks imported in January 2022 slightly reduced over the year and equaled 366.
Meanwhile, the value of imported road vehicles exceeded $68.2 million, thus having grown by $14.7 million (21.65 percent) year on year.
