BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 13.8 percent in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2022), compared to the 11th month (January 21 through February 19, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 346,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, about 200,000 tons were loaded and 146,000 tons were unloaded.

During the 12th month, 198,000 tons of cargo were exported and 66,800 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.

In addition, 1,070 tons of cargo were loaded and 679 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as 75,000 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the 12th month.

Also, 449 tons of cargo were loaded and 3,750 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 7,860 tons of essential products, 864 tons of metal products, 175,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 4,840 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 12th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 3,060 tons of chemicals, 3,970 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 52,800 tons of container products, and 97,500 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

About 12.2 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 12th month of the last Iranian year. Of this, 6.2 million tons were loaded and 5.98 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 5.3 percent, compared to the same month preceding the Iranian year.
