BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 23. The volume of cargo transported through Iranian airports domestically increased by 34 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), as was reflected in the statistics of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC), Trend reports.
According to the statistics, over 232,000 tons of cargo were transported domestically through Iranian airports within the last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, in the preceding Iranian year, the figure stood at over 173,000 tons.
