BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 15. Kazakhstan has developed a roadmap for the simultaneous removal of 'bottlenecks' and building the potential of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), the country's Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development told Trend.

As the ministry noted, the transport infrastructure load has risen along with a sharp increase in the cargo traffic volume, thus affecting the service and revealing 'bottlenecks' on the TITR route.

Four expert meetings have so far been held to discuss the draft document.

Thus, Kazakhstan plans to implement the following projects:

- construction of railway tracks on the Dostyk–Moyynty section and Almaty station bypass railway;

- construction of a "container hub" in Aktau;

- construction of a shipyard in the Mangystau region;

- Acquisition/construction of 10 ferries.

"In total, Kazakhstan pays great attention to the development of this field and is actively cooperating with all partner countries," the ministry added.
