BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 16. A total of 432,284 tons of cargo were transported along the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line in 2022, Trend reports via Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.
According to the company, the total volume of cargo transportation on the above line from 2017 through 2022 amounted to 1.3 million tons.
"A number of important projects are being implemented aimed at a significant increase in cargo transportation along this route," the company said.
Last year, the total volume of cargo transportation by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC equaled 18.7 million tons of cargo, and the volume of passenger transportation reached 5.1 million people.
