BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19. The volume of cargo transported by trucks through Iranian roads increased by 2 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
According to the report, a total of 382 million tons of cargo were transported by trucks via Iranian roads in 9 months, while in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 374 million tons.
During 9 months, 7 million tons of cargo were transited through the country's roads by trucks, which is an increase 4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
So, 5.7 million tons of cargo were transited via the country's roads in the same period last year.
In addition, 95 million passengers were transported via Iranian roads in 9 months. This is an increase of 25 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Thus, passenger transportation through Iranian roads for the same period last Iranian year amounted to 76 million.
