BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 19. Turkmen Berkarar and Bagtyyar ferries carried out 70 voyages to Azerbaijan from January through May this year, carrying a significant amount of cargo, Trend reports.
According to official data, Turkmen ferries successfully transported tens of thousands of tons of transit and imported cargo, including building materials, metal structures, foodstuffs, light industry goods, equipment, and machinery, which were delivered in wagons and trucks.
Turkmenistan's export products, including agro-industrial products, textile products, polymers, and mineral fertilizers from the enterprises of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern and other companies, were also sent by ferry to Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, the significant volume of cargo transportation across the Caspian Sea reflects the strengthening of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan in the field of logistics.
Ferries continue to play an important role in ensuring efficient and reliable cargo transportation between the two countries, contributing to the development of trade and economic ties.
