BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. Approximately 1.7 million passengers were transported to international directions via Iran’s airports in the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023), Trend reports.
Data from the Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC) shows that international passenger transportation through Iran’s airports for six months increased by 6.8 percent compared with the same period last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, in the same period of the previous year, about 1.6 million passengers were transported via Iran’s airports to international destinations.

There are 54 civilly active airports in Iran. Some 14 of them are international airports. On average, 30 million passengers are transported through Iranian airports per year.
