Iran records decline in cargo traffic via its airports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 20. The volume of cargo transported through Iranian airports fell by 1.8 percent in the first 8 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.

Data from Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC) shows that more than 211,000 tons of cargo were transported via Iran’s local airports in the specified period.

Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure surpassed 215,000 tons.
