The Kazakh Central Election Commission has now registered the deputies of the lower chamber of the parliament, the press-service of the commission reported. Deputy certificates and badges will be delivered to all 107 Majlis members.
Some 83 deputies in the Majilis (lower house) of the Kazakh Parliament will represent the People's Democratic Party, Nur Otan, eight with the Kazakh Democratic Party Ak Jol and seven voted in at the Kazakh Communist People's Party. Another nine deputies were elected by the Kazakh Assembly of Peoples.
The elections to the Majilis parliament, held on Jan 15 in Kazakhstan, had a turnout of over 75 per cent.The results show that Nur Otan People's Democratic Part gained most of votes, 80.99 per cent. Nur Otan is followed by the Ak Zhol Democratic party (7.47 per cent) and the Kazakh Communist People's Party (7.19 per cent).
