The Central Asian region has all the capabilities and potential to become one of the world's future global centres, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a meeting with heads of various foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Kazakhstan on Friday.
"The region's central location on the mainland is the main argument for this, "Mr Nazarbayev said.
"Due to the development of oil and gas pipelines, exporting our resources both in Europe and in Asia is possible in the future," Mr Nazarbayev said.
He noted that there are conditions for the creation and development of a unified Central Asian network of railways and roads. In addition, all States in the region could create a single pool of food, as both labour and natural resources are sufficient.
Mr Nazarbayev also stressed that Kazakhstan is the initiator and supporter of Central Asian integration. "Our offer is for all of our neighbours," he added.
