Kazakh Ambassador to Ukraine Zautbek Turisbekov has visited the Lviv region. During the visit he met with the head of the Lviv regional administration Mikhail Kostyuk. Strengthening cooperation of the Lviv area with Kazakh regions, including in the field of tourism was discussed at the meeting, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.
The project of the Kazakh Embassy, aimed at organizing rehabilitation programmes for Kazakhstani in the best resorts of the Western Ukraine and Crimea, was of particular interest. In particular, the project involves extensive use of the potential of world famous resort areas such as Truskovets, Morshin, and resorts of the Crimea by Kazakh citizens.
The counterparts expressed mutual interest in the realisation of the project. Following the talks, an agreement was reached on the reduction of the cost of tourist vouchers for Kazakhstani participants of the project.
In addition, the heads of the Kazakh Embassy and Lviv region made a proposal to the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure on the organisation of a special meeting to discuss preferential flight conditions for members of the 'Medical Tourism' project.
It is assumed that the pilot project will be launched on 1 January 2013
