Kazakhstan increased car production by 6 percent in Jan.-Aug. 2014 compared to the same period of 2013, Kazakhstan Today reported referring to Statistics Committee under Kazakh National Economy Ministry.
Kazakhstan produced 23,228 passenger cars in the mentioned period.
Trucks production increased by 6.8 percent in the first eight months of 2013 compared to Jan.-Aug. 2013 to 1,358.
Car production in Kazakhstan doubled in 2013 compared to 2012, from 19,186 to 37,471. Around 992 buses were produced in the country in 2013 which is 4.5 times more than in 2012 (205 buses).
Kazakhstan plans to continue increasing car production, Kazakh officials have said previously.
