The number of hired employees increased by 62,000 (2.2 million) people in the villages in Kazakhstan in September 2013 and September 2014, while in urban areas - by 27,000 (3.9 million), Ranking.kz. analytical service said.

Most of new jobs were created in Almaty region. The number of hired employees increased by 35,000 people. Around 635,600 employees officially receive salaries. Around 76 percent of people work in the countryside.

Astana's labor market increased by 18,600 up to 402,300 employees.

The number of hired employees increased by 17,000 and hit 703,000 people in Almaty.

In general, the number of employees increased by 1.5 percent to 6.07 million people in Kazakhstan.

The share of employees involved in the agricultural sector increased from 35.6 to 36.1 percent from September 2013 to September 2014.
