An earthquake measuring 5.3 was recorded in Kazakhstan on June 19, tremors measuring 2-3 on the MSK-64 scale were felt in the city of Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan's Seismological Expedition of the Science Committee under Education and Science Ministry reported.
The earthquake occurred at 06:54 a.m. local time (00:54 a.m. Greenwich time), 227 kilometers to the north-east of the city of Almaty.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 15 kilometers.
There was no information about possible victims or damage.
