Kazakhstan and Bulgaria signed a memorandum of understanding, the Kazakh Ministry for Investment and Development said in a message June 28.
According to the memorandum, certain airlines of the two countries obtain the opportunity to carry out three flights a week.
The document was signed by Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastayev and Director of the European Coordination and International Cooperation Directorate of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications of Bulgaria Nadezhda Buhova.
Moreover, an agreement was reached to determine the destinations in the territory of each country for carrying out regular flights.
Thus, Kazakhstan’s air carriers may carry out flights to the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, and the resort towns of Burgas and Varna. Bulgaria’s air carriers have the opportunity to carry out flights to such Kazakh cities as Astana, Almaty, Shymkent.
In conclusion, it was stressed that the achievement of new agreements will facilitate the launch of direct regular flights.
