Kazakhstan, China agree on construction of sugar plant

Kazakhstan and China have agreed on the construction of a sugar plant in Kazakhstan's Pavlodar Province, Kazakh media reported referring to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The agreement was reached during a meeting of representatives of business circles of China and Kazakhstan. The leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, KazAgro JSC and representatives of regional executive powers attended the meeting, which was held as part of the First China International Import Expo in Shanghai, China.
Representatives of three major Chinese companies will visit Kazakhstan in the near future, reports said.
Besides, a memorandum was signed between Qazaq Capital Partners and Wudeli Flour Group Co. Ltd. on the construction of a plant for processing grain and producing noodles in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Representatives of Chinese companies showed great interest in Kazakhstan's agricultural sector and plan to further invest in engineering, meat processing, feed production, logistics, as well as trade and marketing of agriculture products.
