“We have a huge potential in the development of tourism,” Mamin said while answering questions during a meeting with journalists. “But the formation of a world-class tourism product is a difficult task. We are working to solve this task. You probably know how Aktau town is developing today. Several tourist facilities are being built there.”

The Kazakh prime minister stressed that these resorts will be of international level and there were a lot of tourists during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Turkestan town is also developing well,” the Kazakh prime minister added. “The regional center was transferred there, a lot of work was done upon the decision of first Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.”

Mamin said that the main task is to reveal the tourism potential of all the sacred places in Turkestan and near it.

The Kazakh prime minister said that a tourist must spend at least two nights there rather than 20-30 minutes. The program covers several days at the world resorts.
