Trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan increases

Volume of trade between Russia and Kazakhstan may reach $30 billion in the next years, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov stated during the 23rd meeting of the intergovernmental commission on cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, Trend reports according to Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan.

“Kazakhstan and Russia have a traditionally high level of bilateral cooperation across the entire spectrum of interstate relations, supported by the intensity of meetings both at the level of heads of state and at other levels. Russia remains the largest trading partner of Kazakhstan,” minister noted.

Countries celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year. Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia amounted to $24.2 billion in 2021, which is 29.1 percent more than in 2020 ($18.8 billion).

Volume of trade between the two countries could reach $30 billion in the coming years, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov noted during the meeting.
