BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. There should be different groups of consumers that pay different price for gas, Kazakh Minister of Energy Bulat Aqchulaqov said on the sidelines after the government meeting, Trend reports with reference to Kazakh media.

“We need to think about dividing the consumers into groups. The first group is the population and socially vulnerable people, but there are consumer groups that can and should pay the real cost of gas, these are enterprises completely focused on exports and foreign exchange earnings, miners should also pay a different price for gas,” Aqchulaqov noted.

“Also, enterprises should be separated further, into groups," he added.

“There will be a different price for population, it must be segmented and based on what we have. Price will not grow high for population. For now, we are just developing this concept. We were instructed to plan everything in 180 days and we still have time to think,” the minister said.
