BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 29. Russia is interested in further expansion of investments in Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Committee on Energy Policy and Energy Efficiency under the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Vagit Alekperov said during a meeting with Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, Trend reports via the Kazakh government.
The parties discussed the implementation of joint projects in terms of geological exploration and development of oil fields, as well as the modernization of drilling rigs, logistics and taxation.
During the meeting, Smailov stressed that the government of Kazakhstan is ready to continue the joint work and identify new possible areas of cooperation.
Alekperov noted the interest in developing new projects.
