BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 14. A ban on the export of chilled and frozen fish to additionally load the production capacities of fish processing enterprises is under consideration in Kazakhstan, Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources Serikkali Brekeshev said at the government meeting in the Mazhilis [lower house of the parliament], Trend reports on November 14 via the Kazakh media.
The minister also said that work is underway to create conditions for the deep processing of harvested and farmed fish and the manufacturing of high value-added fish products.
Last year, 35,000 tons of raw fish were sent for processing, as a result of which 29,000 tons of fish products were obtained, he added..
