BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 13. Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Germany accounts for 6.3 billion Euros, a staggering 83 percent increase, compared to the same period of 2021, Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, said, Trend reports, citing the press service of Kazakh MFA.

The statement was made in the framework of the meeting between the top Kazakh diplomat and the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of Germany, Robert Habeck.

Habeck stated that Kazakhstan is a very important trading partner of Germany, and Kazakhstan accounts for 85 percent of Germany's total trade with Central Asian states.

Kazakh and German ministers also discussed broadening cooperation in the field of energy security, transportation and logistics, as well as attraction of German investments in Kazakhstan.

Currently, there are over 650 companies with German capital registered in Kazakhstan, there are about 50 potential bilateral investment projects worth about 4.8 billion Euros.
