BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 30. Kazakh low-cost flight operator “FlyArystan” will launch direct flights from Astana to Ankara starting on 23 May, Trend reports, citing Kazakh media.

The tickets for the first flights are already available for purchase.

A one-way ticket for a 5-hour journey to the Turkish capital will cost 43,560 Kazakh tenge (around $94.50).

The flights will be carried out twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

FlyArystan is the first Kazakhstani low-cost airline and a structural subdivision of the national carrier Air Astana. Earlier today, Air Astana announced the launch of flights to Beijing.

The expansion of flight destinations is being undertaken as a part of the transportation strategy of the government of Kazakhstan, which aims to establish new routes to foster business, cargo transportation, and tourism.
