BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 6. The value of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan has amounted to $461.9 million in 2022, which is an increase from $332.2 million, year-on-year, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic planning and reforms of Kazakhstan said, Trend reports via Kazakh media.
According to the data, the value of export from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan in 2022 has reached $375.33 million, compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's imports from Azerbaijan reached $86.6 million.
According to the agency, the value of Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover from January through November 2022 reached $122.2 billion, increasing by 33.4 percent, compared to 2021.
Exports of the country in the reporting period totaled $77.6 billion, which is 42.4 percent more than in 2021. Meanwhile, the value of imports from Kazakhstan grew by 20.1 percent and totaled $44.6 billion.
In August 2022, during Kazakh President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s official visit to Azerbaijan, the parties signed a number of documents on economy, and agreed to increase the value of trade turnover between the two countries to $1 billion per year, in the near future.
