BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 10. Kazakhstan’s “Baiterek” National Managing Holding recorded a net profit of 350 billion Kazakh tenge ($771.89 million) in 2022, Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Board of Baiterek National Managing Holding, said, Trend reports, citing the press service of Kazakh President.

The statement was made in the framework of the meeting between Kanat Sharlapayev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan.

The 2022 figures constitute a threefold increase compared to 2021 and a fivefold increase versus 2020 figures.

Around 685 billion Kazakh tenge ($1.51 billion) was used by Baiterek to finance 238 major projects around the country.

As part of supporting small and medium-sized businesses, 1.5 trillion Kazakh tenge ($3.3 billion) was spent to implement 50,500 projects.

The head of state highlighted the importance of continuing support for small and medium-sized businesses. He also pointed out that Baiterek's participation is necessary to strengthen the export potential and develop the country's agro-industrial complex.

“Baiterek” National Managing Holding aims to support the sustainable economic development of Kazakhstan in order to implement public policies. The Holding is a key institution of the Kazakh government that meets the advanced standards of corporate governance and ensures the implementation of the objectives for sustainable development of the economy of Kazakhstan through its diversification, support for innovation, export development, and increase in labor productivity.
