BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. Kazakhstan’s “SCAT” airlines procured an additional Boeing B737 MAX 9 aircraft, Trend reports, citing the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan.

The plane can accommodate 213 passengers. This is the second B737 purchased by SCAT since the start of 2023. The purchase of the new airplanes is a part of the company’s plan to renew its air fleet.

Currently, the airpark of SCAT consists of 36 planes, including 27 Boeings.

SCAT procured seven new Boeing 737 planes in 2022.

Earlier, Almaz Ydyrysov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development said that Kazakh airlines will procure 42 aircraft by 2026. He noted that the purchase of new planes will allow local airlines to increase the quality of service, increase the number of flights and enable the companies to reduce ticket prices.
