ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 11. The post-tax income of Kazakhstan's Air Astana airline group, which consists of Air Astana and FlyArystan brands totaled $78.41 million in 2022, which is 117 percent more than $36.2 million in 2021, Trend reports.
According to the company's financial report for 2022, the overall revenue of the group experienced a growth of 36 percent, reaching $1.03 billion.
Additionally, the EBITDAR (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, Amortization, and Restructuring or Rent costs) indicator witnessed a substantial 28 percent rise, totaling $288.38 million.
The group's cargo and mail transportation revenues constituted 2.1 percent, 4.4 percent, and 6.1 percent of the total revenue in 2022, 2021, and 2020, respectively.
Furthermore, as reflected in the report, the company's total net financial expenses for 2022 decreased by 26.8 percent to $32.3 million compared to $44.7 million in 2021, mainly due to a reduction in interest payment expenses on loans and an increase in interest income received from short-term deposits.
