Kazakhstan notes increase in state budget revenues

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 26. The revenues of the state budget of Kazakhstan amounted to 11.38 trillion Kazakh tenge ($24.46 billion) from January through June of this year, Trend reports.

According to official data, this is 14.8 percent more than the same period last year (9.92 trillion Kazakh tenge, or $21.32 billion).

The structure of the revenue part of the state budget for the periods under review is identical: tax revenues and transfer receipts account for the largest share.

At the same time, tax revenues traditionally continue to be the main source of the formation of the state budget, accounting for 78.9 percent (8.98 trillion Kazakh tenge, or $19.3 billion) of all revenues for the first half of 2023.

The structure of tax revenues for the analyzed period is dominated by VAT and corporate income tax, which accounted for 29.3 percent and 26.8 percent of tax revenues, respectively, from January to June 2023.

Furthermore, during the specified period, transfer receipts accounted for almost a quarter of the revenue part of the state budget, amounting to 18.8 percent.

Transfers from the National Fund amounted to 2.14 trillion Kazakh tenge ($4.59 billion), including guaranteed transfers of 1.20 trillion Kazakh tenge ($2.57 billion) and targeted transfers of 940 billion Kazakh tenge ($2.02 billion).

The favorable uptrends in tax revenues underscore the strength and durability of Kazakhstan's economy. The government's dedication to upholding conducive circumstances for economic expansion remains steadfast, and they will persist in closely overseeing the inflow of revenue.
