ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 26. Kazakhstan has produced 1.7 million tons of flour from January through July 2023, which is 3.7 percent more than in the same period last year (1.6 million tons), Trend reports.
The Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan specifies that imports accounted for 1.4 percent of flour—24,200 tons of these products were brought into the country. Imports over the past seven months grew by 1.1 percent.
More than 1 million tons of flour were exported from January through July this year, which is 10.7 percent more than in the same period last year.
A total of 716,000 tons of products were sold on the domestic market—5.1 percent less than a year earlier.
The average price of first-grade wheat flour in Kazakhstan per kilogram is 225 tenge ($0.47).
For the entire year 2022, flour production in Kazakhstan amounted to 3.318 million tons. This is 7.2 percent higher than the figure for 2021.
