ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 19. QazaqGaz JSC (Kazakhstan's national company) Sanzhar Zharkeshov has invited private oil and gas companies and private and institutional investors of the countries participating in the "One Belt - One Road" initiative to take an active part in cooperation in the fields of geological exploration, production, transportation, sales, gas processing, gas chemistry, and construction of gas pipelines, Trend reports.
Sanzhar Zharkeshov took part in a round table on cooperation in the energy industry within the framework of the One Belt – One Road Forum.
Meeting participants discussed the possibilities of building an Energy Silk Road as well as the desire for a secure and more inclusive energy future.
Zharkeshov noted that Kazakhstan’s gas industry can play an important role in the Energy Silk Road due to the country’s resource reserves and unique location.
"Possessing large transit potential, resources, and gas reserves, Kazakhstan can help not only itself but also other countries. Our country has the potential to become both a transit country and a donor country of energy resources in the region," he said.
The round table was attended by heads of the largest oil and gas companies from around the world, including CNPC, Gazprom PJSC, Sinopec, Turkmengaz, etc.
