ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 25. The decrease in inflation in Kazakhstan to 11.8 percent in September affected all 20 regions of the country, Trend reports.
The highest annual inflation was recorded in Akmola, Zhetysu and North Kazakhstan regions.
Prices for food products in September slowed to 11.4 percent y-o-y (in August -12.4 percent). The maximum increase in prices for goods in this group occurred in the Ulytau region (15.3 percent), and the minimum in Shymkent (8.9 percent).
The rate of growth in prices for non-food products slowed to 12.1 percent y-o-y (in August – 13.5 percent). The maximum value was recorded in Almaty (14.4 percent), the minimum – in the Ulytau region (8 percent).
Prices for paid services in September increased to 11.9 percent y-o-y (in August - 13.9 percent), while prices rose significantly above the national level in the Zhetysu region (17.7 percent), significantly lower in the Kostanay region (8.2 percent).
Inflation in the Republic of Kazakhstan slowed down over the year and amounted to 11.8 percent in September 2023 (in August 2023 - 13.1 percent), over the month - 0.6 percent (previous month - 0.7 percent).
Prices for food products over the year increased by 11.4 percent (in August 2023 - 12.4 percent), for non-food products - by 12.1 percent (in August 2023 - 13.5 percent), for paid services - by 11.9 percent (in August 2023 – 13.9 percent).
