ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 16. The Shymkent Oil Refinery in Kazakhstan shipped 31,500 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in October, the refinery told Trend.

The enterprise's production plan for October was 25,300 tons.

At the same time, over the 15 days of November this year, with a planned figure of 15,800 tons, 16,400 tons were sent to consumers (587 tons from previously accumulated balances).

The average daily production of LPG in October amounted to 1,042 tons, shipment - 1,019 tons, which corresponds to 29-30 tank cars per day. Based on the results of 15 days of November, this figure reached 1,102 tons, and shipments amounted to 1,097 tons (29-30 tank cars).

In the city of Shymkent, the refinery plans to ship 7,500 tons of LPG in November. Based on the results of 15 days, 3,800 tons were shipped (50 percent of the plan). The planned average daily shipment is about 7 tank cars.

Currently, the production and shipment of liquefied petroleum gas at the Shymkent oil refinery is stable.

In addition to the city of Shymkent, the Shymkent Oil Refinery also makes shipments to other southern regions of Kazakhstan (Almaty city, Turkestan and Jambyl regions).

The consumption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has increased sharply in Kazakhstan. The increase in LPG consumption in the country is connected with cars switching to running on gas.

From January through October 2023, the KazMunayGas' (Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company) oil refineries produced over 650,000 tons of LPG.
