KazTransOil reports tariff hike for water supply through main pipelines

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 26. A subsidiary of the Kazakhstan's KazTransOil JSC (national operator for the trunk oil pipeline), Main Waterline LLP, increases tariff for a regulated service for the supply of water through main pipelines for industrial enterprises, commercial organizations and oil and gas producing enterprises by 9 percent from March 1, the company told Trend.

Prices for the population, budgetary and non-profit organizations, as well as other enterprises providing utility services to the population, budgetary and non-profit organizations will be 18.04 tenge/m³ (about $0.04), agricultural producers - 64.98 tenge/m³ (about $0.15), industrial enterprises and other commercial organizations – 683.75 tenge/m³ (about $1.53), oil and gas producing enterprises – 2,044.51 tenge/m³ (about $4.56).

Taking this into account, the average tariff increased from 626.66 (about $1.4) to 683.75 tenge/m³ (about $1.53), or by 57.09 tenge/m³ (about $0.13), which is 9.1 percent.

At the same time, the tariff for the population, budgetary and non-profit organizations, as well as other enterprises providing utility services to the population, budgetary and non-profit organizations, and agricultural producers, remains at the same level without changes.

To note, KazTransOil JSC is the national operator of the main oil pipeline. It is included in the group of KazMunayGas JSC (Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company) and owns a diversified network of main oil pipelines with a length of 5,400 km.

KazTransOil JSC owns a 100 percent stake in the authorized capital of Main Waterline LLP. Main Waterline LLP is the owner of the "Astrakhan-Mangyshlak" main water pipeline.
