Kyrgyz Deputy Foreign Minister Meets with OSCE Representative

Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, 26 August / Trend corr. R.Mashadihasanli / On 26 August, A.Beshimov, the Kyrgyz Deputy Foreign Minister, met with G.Bolton, the senior expert of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) on border issues. E.Tezorye, the head of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek, participated in this meeting, as well.

According to the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed cooperation in border field, as well as interaction of customs services. Mutual readiness was stressed to begin practical activities of this field, particularly, to establish the Regional customs centre in Bishkek for preparation and training of the Kyrgyz specialists, as well as the Afghan specialists. At present, the OSCE begins to examine financial and organizational issues on opening of the centre. The joint project is examined within the framework of the participation of Kyrgyzstan in restoration of Afghanistan, as well.
