Atambayev to reduce Kyrgyz presidential powers in case he is elected
Single opposition candidate for the presidential post in Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev will reduce presidential powers in case he is elected, CA-NEWS reported.
"If I become president, I will reduce presidential powers," he said criticizing Bakiyev's family ruling.
Atambayev asked blessing from united opposition at an opposition conference today.
"I ask your blessing. I will justify your trust," he said.
Conference participants unanimously supported nomination of Atambayev and Ismail Isakov.
The third opposition conference was followed by a dinner, concert and sports games.
