Cultural figures, writers and the intellectuals laid flowers on the grave of the People's Writer of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aitmatov at memorial complex Ata-Beyit and commemorated the writer with moment of silence today, on the date of Aitmatov's death anniversary, "24.kg" reported.
Meeting -requiem was also held at the complex on the same day. The well-known people made special mention of high humanity nature of Chingiz Aitmatov, remembered different situations when they dealt with him.
Chingiz Aitmatov commemoration week runs in Kyrgyzstan at the time.
Commemoration night devoted to the writer will take place at the square in front of the National Philharmonic Hall on June 12.
